This was a new experience for me. Not just the blogging but the writing in general. Throughout my many years of schooling this class has to be the most I’ve ever written in. I say that not because it’s a college class, but because I literally wrote only three essays during my entire stay at high school. This was a really big change for me. To be honest I was scared to write so much but as the semester progressed I learned to enjoy it and have fun with it. Since this class is coming to an end I think my blog will be doing the same. Though I do hope some of you do continue to write on yours. They were filled with great stories and lots of laughs. I hope you all have a great winter break. Merry Christmas.

It was almost two months ago on October 15. We were in her grey corolla speeding down the freeway. The radio was blaring with The All American Rejects as the bass shook her car. With the windows rolled down we felt every gust of the wind hit us like a cool splash of liquid nitrogen. Sprinting down State street we had finally arrived at our destination. It was a small music club in the back of a complex full of shops. It's called the SOHO. As soon as you walk in the entire building opens up and this stage right against the wall comes into focus. I had early purchased tickets for one of my favorite bands, Starfucker. Their special blend of indie, electronic, and dance music is phenomenal and from what i was told their live performance would be incredible. We push through the crowd and squeeze into the perfect spot in the front. We see the instruments and the roadies setting up and we get so excited. We start swelling with anticipation. The crowd begins to scream as they casually trot on to the stage as if they are back in their garage. The lights go out and the synth starts to hum, you can feel the floor shake every time the drummer hits the kick drum. Then everything goes silent for just a quick second and BAM! The whole band plays as the crowd jumps and dances. It truly was an amazing sight when the entire backdrop turned into a LED light show. After the concert I got a drumstick and a T-shirt signed by the band. Probably the greatest part of the night was after the show because they didn't just go they stayed and hung out with the crowd. I was by far the BEST concert I have ever been to.

One of the most influential persons in my life would have to be Goku. He was a low class sayain warrior that was sent to earth  to destroy it. Soon after arriving he was struck on the head forgetting his mission and then becoming earth's strongest defender. He has hair as black as night and the purest smile in the whole universe. He wears a bright orange training suit called a gi and thousands of pounds in training gear under. He trains every second he has so he is able fight and eventually defeat the villains of the universe. The reason Goku is so influential in my life is because he taught me to never give up and to always fight til the end; even if you die because then the dragon balls will bring you back.
Another amazing person in my life is Courage. He is a small purple dog who is very cowardly. At birth Courage was abandoned by a dumpster then rescued by a kind lady. He now lives in the middle of nowhere with his owners Eustace and Muriel Bagge the kind lady that saved him. Eustace is a horribly mean old man who is constantly tormenting poor Courage while Muriel a sweet old lady cares for him and treats him right. Muriel is constantly being kidnapped and put in harms way and Courage is always going after her and saving her. Though Courage is scared out of his mind he is always finding the strength to push on, to keep going, to save Muriel, the one and only person in his life that has ever truly loved him. I admire Courage for always pulling through in the end and rescuing Muriel. Courage has shown more than one time what love can accomplish.
Last but not least there is Monkey D. Luffy. He is a fun-loving pirate who sails the open sea with his crew of misfits. As a young child he ate a special type of fruit called a gum gum fruit which gave him the ability to stretch his body to extraordinary lengths. The only drawback is that after eating the fruit you lose the ability to swim and sailing on the sea swimming is almost always needed.  Though Luffy cant swim he still wants to be king the of pirates and he wont let anything stand in his way. He defeats many powerful foes that attempt to destroy his dreams but after the fight none is ever left standing. He lives by his own code and will protect anyone who needs to be protected. He is a great man and someone many fictional people look up to.

This is my first semester in college and I thought it would of been completely different. The first month I was prepared to study all day and night and dread the tests and essays. Though over time I've come to realize college is a lot like high school, except you don't need to show up and there's a lot less homework. I really enjoy how the only homework I do have is able to be completed online with no hassle what so ever. I'm really glad college life turned out to be easy because lately I've been quite busy. Just a couple of weeks ago I had finally attended my bio class after about 3 weeks of absences. Being so busy I hadn't had time to even look at the web page to see what we would be doing. Unknowingly, I came to class that day and was asked by another student "ready for the midterm?". I was so shocked and confused. Unprepared for this test I frantically went up and down each row of the classroom searching for a scantron. After finding one I sat down and felt completely fine, though I hadn't been there and I had no clue what would be on the test I knew the midterm would be a piece of cake. It was one of the easiest tests I have ever took, I was out of that class in 15 minutes. I am happily surprised with the way college turned out to be and hope it stays this way for the rest of the time I am here. I do wish sometimes it was harder that way I would at least be ready to put in a lot of effort, but now I am use to having to put in little effort. This should prove to be troublesome in the future.   also truth is i have been trashed on one saturday night ONCE!! im not a drunk

I have seen passion of Christ.
I have never crashed on a bike.
I have been trapped on an island an had to survive.
I have been trashed on a Saturday night.
I have never started a slow clap in my life.

The Mostar Diving Club

Worlds Apart
Some day you will find me
I haven't gone to far
I miss the way we were back then
How we laughed
I can feel you in my heart

There's a world in your eyes I can see getting brighter
All the hours that we turned into days
we were young seemed like life would go on last forever
All I had was you by my side

Someday you will answer
Remember how we were
/when all our hopes and dreams
Floated in the air
I feel it in my heart
I can feel you in my heart

That's the way that is was in the past you remember
When we ran through the wind and the rain
We were young seemed like life would go on last forever

Now everything has changed...

World's Apart

Back when we were young
We ran into the sun
It's like we fell apart
Yes you stole my heart
I searched these wasted years
To wipe away the tears
As my heart began to crack
We cant go back
I can hardly speak
When your in front of me
I cant breathe

Two paths that would not cross
You left me feeling lost
But I love you just the same
Let the magic rain

With a blanket made of stars
To wrap the both of us
As we fell into the light
Our world's collide
Yes that's the way our world's collide

Here I am and here I stand
Our world's collide
And i would wait for you
And I'd wait forever too
You're in, You're in my heart
It's true

I had the honor of meeting Amanda Jimenez. Amanda has lived in Oxnard her whole life with two wonderful parents, a little sister, and 2 very beautiful dogs. She went to an elementary school down the street from her house, which can be very exciting for young children. She later attended Fremont Middle School then promoted to Oxnard High School where she spent the next four years working very diligently to ensure a successful future. Now she attends Oxnard College with one goal in mind to make something of herself. She doesn't quite know what that is yet, but she does know that she wants to be someone people look up to and depend on.
Currently she is enrolled in 3 classes, Philosophy, English, and Math totaling 12 units. She is also employed at Ross working nights. Though this schedule seems hectic, she manages it very well. She has always looked up to her parents and hopes one day to have someone look up to her. Amanda sees herself as friendly, ambitious, and very easy going. Being so driven, she says "In five years I'm going to be an independent, fully functioning member of society giving back to my community in any way I can". Her motto in life has been and always will be "Work first, play later". Since attending Oxnard College she has become fond of our new library and all it has to offer. She just wishes our ordinary campus could be more colorful and lively. She has also been surprised by how much the teachers care about the students. Amanda is an amazing person who seems like she has something to teach us all. I'm glad I was given the opportunity to interview her.

When was the last time you actually talked to a single person without you or them texting or looking over the other ones head to see a monitor? In our society we are overloaded with all this technology, we can never get a break from it. Its everywhere we go and most of us don't even mind. Nowadays everyone of us has a phone and a lot of us do love to text, but that doesn't mean you should be texting every second of everyday day. Now I'm not saying to stop texting but just cut back because I see people who are completely dependent upon their phones waiting for replies instead of talking to the person right in front of them.
I cant stand it when I'm talking to someone and they just pull out there phone and start texting. Its such an inconsiderate thing to do. When that happens, it just strengthens my feelings towards the idea that texting has no real use to this world, other than showing how easily people can be sucked into a 2 1/2in lcd screen.  If I'm in the middle of a conversation. I'm not going to be texting, but if you do I'm going to be dying for the chance to take your phone and throw it!

I've heard of all those reality television shows before. How one girl said something about her other ones mama and all hell brakes loose. Or how the guy's only goal that night is to get laid behind his girlfriend's back. To be completely honest they are very pointless. They make no sense to me. They are one of the most fabricated things I have ever seen on TV. I truly cant fathom how people can waste even a second of their precious time watching that mindless dribble. To actually sit down and be inquisitive into the lives of these sick and crude people. Who seem to enjoy getting paid to make a complete idiot out of themselves. It confounds me.

Reality television has turned America into an atrocious and corrupt place. A place where we applaud the superficial and award the cruelest of us . We live in a society where no one has any more common sense or etiquette. An entire country with no dignity. The most fallacious attributes of these horrible people are admired and glorified. We put them on a pedestal watching and waiting for them to disrespect them self. Then reward them for it. All we illustrate to the youth of this nation is that lying and cheating are admirable as long as your getting something out of it.

These shows are poisoning the minds of the this generation. Tangling their heads in a web of filth and deceit. Before all of these vulgar shows, television was more censored and family appropriate. Even though television was and still is the pseudo parents for most children, the media abuses that and spoon feeds their nonsense it into their mouth forcing them to turn into brain dead consumers. Living by what they see and hear on their favorite shows. Acting like their favorite drugged up drunk party girl or conceited little rich boy. They think that if they act this way something good could come out of it.They might even get their own show and become yet another cog in the machine that is slowly destroying this country. This industry doesn't care if they hurt these kids as long as their profits are up and their products are selling. But you know what I will not take part in it. I will not tune in every week to watch the helpless and weak get torn down and the stupid and reckless get praise. I will not let them cast their hooks into my mind. They will never get me.
